Some facts and trivia about the 6 Star Wars films you may not know:

1. Wedge Antilles is the only character who takes part in and survives all three major battles in the original trilogy
2. R2D2 and C-3PO are the only characters who appear in every Star Wars movie. 3PO is the only one who is played by the same actor, Anthony Daniels.
3. The original costume for 3PO limited the actor’s movements so much, he face-planted several times when the set quivered slightly. In another scene, our famous Goldenrod could not hold his comm without it being taped to his shiny hand.
4. R2 and 3PO are seen as a cameo in Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.
5. The sound of the hovering battle tanks used by the battle droids in The Phantom Menace was created by running an electric razor around a metal salad bowl and then digitally lowering the pitch.
6. A bear was deprived of food for a day and then presented with a small amount of bread to get a Wookiee sound. The bear was then fed properly.
7. The original idea of Chewbacca was used as Zeb Orelios in Star Wars Rebels. Han Solo was meant to be a green alien with bumpy skin.
8. Han Solo’s “I know” line was created by Harrison Ford when he refused to say anything else. It’s become an iconic Star Wars quote.
9. It took 6-10 people to work the full-sized animatronic of Jabba the Hutt. The frogs he ate were not real.
10. Return of the Jedi was going to be called Revenge of the Jedi, but Lucas decided Jedi do not seek revenge.
11. A cameo of the Millenium Falcon can be seen landing on Corucsant in Revenge of the Sith. This is before Lando or Han owned it.
12. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” or a variation of it is spoken in every movie.
13. The Phantom Menace’s production sets were built only as high as the tops of the actors’ heads and CGI filled in the rest. But Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn) was so tall that they needed to build things taller and this cost the production another $150,000 in construction.
14. Hayden Christiansen played Darth Vader in Revenge of the Sith instead of to David Prowse who previously did the role. Hayden apparently begged Lucas to let him play him. The suit had to be redesigned to accommodate his smaller stature than Prowse’s.
15. R2D2 is taller than Wicket.
16. Darth maul has ten horns on his red head.
17. He was also a violation of the Rule of Two, while Darth Plagueis was alive.
18. In Attack of the Clones, Jar Jar puts forth the motion that gives Palpatine emergency powers. This means that Jar Jar, one of the most universally hated characters in the Star Wars films is responsible for the fall of the Republic and the massacre of the Jedi. Unless he really was the Sith Lord.
19. Extra for nerds: According to a famous theory originally found on Reddit, Jar Jar Binks is actually a Sith Lord. “he and Palpatine were likely in collaboration from the very beginning, and it’s entirely possible that Palpatine was a subordinate underling to Binks throughout both trilogies.”
